The Fish Camp is a waterfront custom home in Charlotte Harbor and was featured on this months “Best of Houzz”. A fun and whisical home located on an island its beautiful a tropical retreat. This unique home is located on Useppa island who’s only mode of access is by boat. Design by Paul Konstant
The home is designed in pods and though it is less than 4,000sf under air it can sleep 12. The idea was to have a fun and whimsical vacation home with a bohemian flair in a package thatg looed like an old fish camp.
The challenges of building on an island
With a long history of waterfront custom home construction, Perrone Construction was up to the task. All material and labor had to be barged to and from the island so efficiency was a must. The pool had to be floated to the island like a boat.
This home used a special wood look material called Boral on the exterior for an authentic look without the maintenance hassle of wood
