Pouring a beautiful slab for this Sarasota waterfront home
There’s a few big points when the construction process gets very exciting for our owners. They are points when the home really starts to take shape. Pouring the first floor in a home is always one of those times. Take a look below to see how our slab pour went on this Sarasota waterfront home.
There’s a lot that has to happen before the slab is poured and we’ve detailed that in previous posts to this point but the slab pour itself is uniquely critical because this is the surface which all other work will be built upon. We utilize crews we have the utmost confidence in and manage them carefully to be sure that everything goes smoothly. When concrete trucks arrive tickets are checked to make sure that the concrete is arriving within the necessary time frame. Concrete is tested to make sure that it conforms to the engineers specifications and it is then carefully poured and detailed by tradesmen we’ve been working with for decades. Lasers are used to check the height of the slab to be sure that the end result is a nice flat slab. Nothing is left to chance and the result reflects this approach.
Our subcontractor for this project utilizes a boom pump to carefully place concrete. Tradesmen check the slab with lasers to ensure it is flat
