The Fish Camp was built to honor the historic stilt homes that dot the waters of Charlotte Harbor and would serve as dormitories for commercial fishermen during an era where boats only ran several miles offshore and fish were netted by hand. The feeling evoked when arriving at the Fish Camp is that you are 1,000 miles away, detached from the constant of time. There are no cars on the island and the lush mangroves and tropical native vegetation envelops you like the breeze of salty air. This fun and whimsical island retreat was designed by Paul Konstant
